Features and benefits
Aluminum oxide mineral with film backing is a very efficient combination. It is an extremely precise, fast-cutting abrasive which provides uniform sanding. Polyester film backing is also known for its resistance. Choosing film backing for abrasive is a wise choice since it won’t tear off even during rough or long applications.
Because film performs better than paper, it offers a perfectly even surface. Besides adding a mineral coating on this smooth surface, Dynabrade DG922 is treated with an anti-loading agent which improves abrasive lifetime but also the work surface finishes.
In fact, an anti-loading agent contains an average particle diameter of fewer than 30 microns, ideally between 1 and 20 microns. By forming very small particles mixed with swarf from a sanded surface, such as a painted metal surface, it can prevent adequate agglomerating loading of the swarf in a coated abrasive surface.
The anti-loading agent particles are small enough that when a work surface is sanded with DG922 to generate abraded swarf, the agent particles are formed and block the accumulation of swarf particles to create a smooth and consistent work surface.

DG922 can be used in several types of applications and surfaces such as wood, metal, composite, solid surface, filler, e-coat, primer, paint coat, clear coat and gel coat thanks to its long-lasting and resistant properties.
