COMPOSITE HOUSING
Compact and lightweight, these Die Grinders are ideal for precision grinding, deburring, and blending. Each tool features a composite overmold housing for reduced vibration and thermal protection.
ALUMINUM HOUSING
These refined Die Grinders are manufactured to ensure high durability and low weight. Each tool is manufactured with the rigidity and strength with a housing machined from a single piece of aluminum bar stock
STEEL HOUSING
Features high quality steel housings. Ideal for heavy-duty applications where durability is required. Featuring a rubber over grip to insulate the operator from vibration and cold air transmission. Ideal for use in shipyards, foundries, steel fabrication and welding operations.
EXHAUST AND MUFFLER OFFERINGS
Choose now between front exhaust, rear exhaust standard muffler and rear exhaust extended muffler. Discover all the differences below:
FRONT EXHAUST
Front exhaust tools direct debris away as tool is running, allowing clear view of work surface.
REAR EXHAUST
Abbreviated length of Standard Muffler is ideal for smaller hands. It may be used with overhose assembly.
EXTENDED MUFFLER
Extended Muffler design is ideal for larger hands, as the tool length is extended to accommodate the tri-muffling technology. It may be used with overhose assembly.
GEARED AND GEARLESS TOOL OFFERINGS
You want to know the difference between Dynabrade Geared and Gearless tool? It's quite simple. Geared Tools generally have higher torque levels and broader power range, while Gearless Tools offer reduced maintenance and downtime. Tool RPM and configuration dictates the presence of gearing.
TWO TYPES OF GEARING
If you go for a Geared Tool, there are two types of gearing:
-
- Planetary gears are inline speed reduction gears. The greater the reduction, the higher the torque levels.
- Right angle bevel gears turn the spindle of the machine 90° from the motor. Typically there is a speed reduction but not as much as planetary gears.
GEARED TOOL ICON
- This symbol features higher torque levels and a broader range.
GEARLESS TOOLS
- Gearless tools have lower vibration levels due to the omission of transmitting power through gears
- They offer a tool with fewer wearable parts, resulting in reduced maintenance and downtime
- Among tools with the same horsepower rating, gearless tools will generally have lower torque levels than geared tools.
GEARLESS TOOL ICON
This symbol identifies a Dynabrade tool that operates with no gears.
